Privacy Policy
Warmvine (“Warmvine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a private, AI-powered social-intelligence and relationship-coaching app. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we use AI to power your experience, who we share data with, and the rights you have. We collect as little as we can, keep it secure, and never sell it.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, Google profile picture, and Google account identifier (see “Google Sign-In” below).
- Onboarding preferences — the growth areas and interests you select (e.g. dating confidence, workplace presence).
- Content you create — practice conversations you run with the AI, chats or text you paste in for analysis, and, where you use screenshot analysis, images you upload.
- Activity — daily challenges you complete, streaks, and progress you record.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage & insights data — features used, confidence score, practice volume, and session metadata used to generate your Insights.
- Device & technical data — device model, operating system, app version, language, approximate IP-derived location, crash logs, and diagnostic identifiers.
Subscriptions & purchases
- If you buy a premium subscription or make an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and validated through our payments partner (RevenueCat). We receive purchase and entitlement status, but we never receive or store your full card or bank details.
2. How we use your data
- To provide, personalize, and improve the app’s core features — practice conversations, chat and screenshot analysis, daily challenges, and Insights.
- To generate AI responses and coaching tailored to the areas you chose.
- To operate your account, authenticate you, and manage subscriptions and entitlements.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, debug, and comply with law.
- To send you important service messages (and, only with your consent, product updates).
Our legal bases under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) are your consent and, where applicable, our provision of a service you requested (“legitimate uses”). You can withdraw consent at any time (see Your rights).
3. AI features & your content
Warmvine’s coaching, practice partner, and analysis features are powered by generative AI. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate, and is not professional, medical, legal, or psychological advice. Use your own judgment before acting on it.
- Who processes it. To generate responses, the content you submit (practice messages, chats or text you paste for analysis, and text extracted from screenshots) is sent to our AI provider, Google’s Gemini API (Google Cloud), acting as our processor.
- How it’s handled. We retain your practice history and analyses in your account so you can revisit them and so we can show your progress over time. Your content is not used to train shared or third-party foundation models. Consistent with Google’s paid Gemini API terms, Google does not use content submitted through the paid API to train its models.
- No sale, no ads. We do not sell your conversations and we do not share them with advertisers.
- Your control. You can delete individual practice sessions or analyses, or your whole account, at any time (see Your rights).
4. Google Sign-In & Google user data
We use Google Sign-In so you can create and access your account without a separate password. When you sign in, Google shares your basic profile (name, email, profile picture, and account ID) with us, subject to Google’s own privacy policy and the permissions you grant.
Limited Use. Warmvine’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide and improve the features you signed in for, we do not transfer it except as needed to provide those features or as required by law, and we do not use it for advertising.
5. How we share data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers (processors) acting on our instructions — including Google (Gemini AI and cloud infrastructure), our hosting provider, RevenueCat (subscription validation), and crash/analytics tooling.
- App stores (Apple, Google) to process purchases you initiate.
- Legal & safety — when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or Warmvine.
- Business transfers — if Warmvine is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, data may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
6. Data retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal, tax, or security obligations. You can request deletion sooner (see Your rights).
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards — including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and hardened, isolated infrastructure — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires it.
8. Your rights (DPDP Act)
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we process about you.
- Correct, complete, update, or erase your personal data.
- Withdraw consent at any time (this won’t affect processing already carried out).
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
- Grievance redressal — raise a concern with us and, if unsatisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any right, email support@warmvine.com or use the in-app account controls. We may need to verify your identity first.
9. Children & minors
You must be at least 13 years old to use Warmvine. Under the DPDP Act, anyone under 18 in India is treated as a child: if you are under 18, you may use Warmvine only with the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly process a child’s data without such consent, and we do not undertake behavioral tracking or targeted advertising directed at children. If you believe a child has used Warmvine without proper consent, contact us and we will delete the data.
10. International transfers
Some of our providers (including Google) may process data on servers outside India. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we do so in accordance with applicable law and require appropriate safeguards to protect it.
11. Grievance & contact
For any privacy question, request, or complaint, contact our grievance/data protection contact at support@warmvine.com. We aim to acknowledge and respond within the timelines required by law.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves or the law changes. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
